North Coast Chapter of ABATE of Oregon, Inc.
ABATE: “A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education” ABATE of Oregon, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that promotes motorcycle awareness, education, safety and liberty through community involvement and legislative action.

ABATE of Oregon has 11 chapters throughout the state, with ABATE organizations in 25 other states.

Our members and supporters are from every walk of life, ride all brands of motorcycles and some don’t even own a motorcycle but participate because of the enjoyment and our involvement in our activities.

What we do
Our Chapter’s Runs and Events: Spring Fever Run; Around Saddle Mountain Run; Spaghetti Dinner & Live Auction, Care Bear Collection; Christmas Run; Bowling Parties; Fun Runs; Clatsop County Adopt-A-Road Participant; Presenting Motorcycle Awareness Classes in our local schools. Enjoy the freedom of the road with our fellow brothers and sisters, collectively work to preserve and enhance motorcyclist’s rights, and providing support to our local community.

Outcomes of what we do
Fun and more fun, promoting our mission statement, giving back to the community by our charitable fund raising efforts held throughout the year which ultimately helps to support the local Food Banks and similar programs.

ABATE Membership Benefits

  • Receive both the monthly Chapter Newsletter and the State Newspaper which contains valuable information about upcoming events/runs throughout the state, news from around the country regarding motorcycles and motorcyclists, legislative news.
  • Meet new riders, make new friends, enjoy runs and events, the warm feeling that you have had a hand in helping to give back to our community and in turn helping to change the perception of motorcyclists.

The North Coast Chapter meetings are held at the Moose Lodge in Astoria (420 17th St.) on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM.
